Nick is a educator and science communicator with a background in biomolecular science and engineering for greener chemical synthesis. His extensive work involved engaging of non-traditional and hard-to-reach audiences with biology, chemistry and sustainability. This includes use of citizen-created blackout poetry from otherwise inaccessible peer-reviewed publications, composition of music from DNA sequences, multilingual outreach (UK) and communication of climate science to vulnerable coastal communities (Brazil). He has received accolades for his practice and leadership of public engagement with research including a Biochemical Society Teaching Excellence Award, Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and various Making A Difference Awards for Social Responsibility.

Nick has worked with the team to develop the multi-lingual teaching resources, and to find new ways to integrate RoundView teaching into training the next generation of professionals in responsible manufacturing.
